APD/MD & Afternoon Drive Personality for the #1 Urban Adult Radio Station in America, WBHK-98.7 KISS FM
Chris Coleman was born in Toledo, Ohio, moving to Birmingham, Alabama at the age of three. He has been entertaining all of his life. His father, William “Boppin Bill” Coleman, introduced Chris to the music industry. Chris’ father was a thirty-year veteran in the business.
By the age of 17, Chris had made a name for himself in Birmingham, Alabama as one of the top DJ’s in the club business.

Two years after graduation from high school, Chris joined the United States Air Force where his radio career began to expand. Chris received an Honorable Discharge from the United Stares Air Force.

Returning home, Chris continued his radio career in his hometown at WENN FM. With Chris’ high consistent ratings, WFXE of Columbus, Georgia offered him a position, WFXE moved from a #5 rating to #1, making them the #1 radio station in Columbus, Georgia. Having heard Chris while driving through Columbus one night, J.B. Louis, Program Director of WBLX Mobile, Alabama immediately sought him to become a member of his radio staff. There was a 6-10p.m. position opened at the time. Again, Chris took this station from a #2 overall to #1 overall.

In September of 1998, Chris was asked by Cox Radio to take over as co-host of WBHJ 95.7 Jamz current morning show which was later renamed the “Home Team Morning Show with Rickey Smiley as Co-host. Next, Chris went to WEUP-FM in Huntsville, Alabama and Chris took his show from a 5 share to a 24.3 share from ages 12+ and for the first time in fifteen years WEUP was #1 in that time slot, and #2 overall.

In May of 2002, Chris was contacted by then APD/MD, Terri Thomas, to handle mix shows for
WIZF-FM in Cincinnati, Ohio five days a week from noon-1:00pm. After Chris’ arrival, his popularity grew as well as changes were being made at the radio station. Terri Thomas was moved to Program Director and Chris was offered a full-time position in the 2 p.m. – 6p.m. time slot.

In August 2005 he was contacted again by Cox Radio to be the APD/MD and afternoon drive personality for the #1 Urban Adult Radio Station in America, WBHK-98.7 KISS FM where he currently holds those positions.
